Drâa Valley and the Dunes of Tinfou – Day trip « Watching TV reportages, it’s interesting, but this time we're in! » – Pierre, February 5th, 2008
From the Tizi n’Tinifift pass, 5447 ft high, you will cross the Jbel Saghro. You will reach Agdz for a little break and then reach the very old trail which goes trough the entire Draâ valley. This trail was the main path to go to Marrakech for the traders travelling in caravans coming from Tombouctou. At last, you will reach Zagora and Tamgroute village where you will visit the Zaouia, the potters while working and the Coranic library. Finally, you will climb until the top the dunes : they are the first dunes before the deep and wild desert. Back to Zagora to have lunch and enjoy the swimming pool of charming riad. Back to Ouarzazate at the end of the day.

On the Road to Telouet Kasbah – Day trip One of the most famous trail in Morocco!
This trail starts from the old fortress of Ait Benhaddou. The caravans were following this path to cross High-Atlas Mountains and join the imperial’s city of Marrakech since ages. You will see lot of villages made in clay and you will discover outstanding country sides. Total change of scene guaranteed. After few hours driving along this outstanding track, you will reach the Kasbah of the Glaoui. Your table will be dressed in a typical Berber mountains restaurant, which is situated on a High-Atlas plateau at 6563 ft of altitude. Back to Ouarzazate by another road.

Dadès and Todra’s Gorges – Day trip The red cathedrals of the South !
Through the palm grove of Skoura, you will carry on by the road of Thousand Kasbahs. You will also see Kelaâ M’gouna which is the capital of the roses and the city of Boumalne where begins the gorges of Dadès. At last, you will reach Tinghir and it unmatchable Todra’s gorges, which look like cathedrals. You will have your lunch right in the middle. After your meal, you will have some time to spare and have a walk inside the gorges. Back to Ouarzazate in late afternoon.
