On the Tracks of Dakar – CIRCUIT 4X4
6 days – 5 nights
Simply awesome !

Day 1
Depart from your hotel in Marrakech in Toyota Land Cruiser 4x4 in direction of Ouarzazate.  You will cross the High-Atlas through the Tichka pass at  8728 ft of altitude. Just after having lunch into a traditional Berber restaurant, you will have a walk on the traces of the famous Pacha Glaoui and take the trail of Telouet to reach the ancient fortress of Ait Benhaddou which has been adopted by UNESCO in 1987.   You will arrive at the charming and very comfortable Mercure hotel, which is situated just in front of the old city of Ouarzazate.

Day 2
You will leave your hotel around 8:00am. On your way, you will cross the Roses Valley by passing by the Road of 1000 Kasbahs and the Dadès Gorges. Your lunch will be served in the heart of the great Todra Gorges, on the verge of the river. In the afternoon, you will see lots of Berber villages, rock desert and flourishing palm groves. At the end of the afternoon, you will stop your 4x4 and start riding camels inside the majestic and colourful dunes of Merzouga. Your bivouac is set right in the middle of highest dunes of Morocco.
Dinner and night under tents or facing the stars.

Day 3
After breakfast, you will leave the bivouac at 8:00am. Be prepared because the desert adventure really starts from here. You’ll love to explore and discover this part of Morocco because it’s one of the wildest. Paris-Dakar rally also races in this part of the desert where authentic nomads live in their tents and where you can stop if you want to try a truly hospitality. You will cross lots of dry rivers, dry lakes, black burned mountains and orange dunes. Running those off road tracks with your 4x4 will give you a taste of freedom that you never had before.  Along the way, your guide will stop in some special places where amateur can find easily fossils such as “trilobite” or “orthocere”. In the late afternoon, the track will lead you to an authentic oasis where is situated your hotel and it excellent swimming pool.  Dinner and night at your hotel kasbah.

Day 4
Free time in the morning.
After a good lunch, you will be back on the trails in your 4x4. That’s another full adventure day which is waiting for you.
On the tracks for the deep desert and it great dunes of  Ch’gaga: sand tracks, black rock’s plateaux, lunch under the tamarix trees, amazing sunset and bivouac in the heart of the dune’s ocean.
Dinner and night under tents or facing stars.

Day 5
Early wake up to look at sunrise riding camels, breakfast and depart along the dunes : great spaces, dry lake and a break into a small oasis which is the unique spring in this area.
Depart to go through Iriki’s lake, meet some nomads people who will lead you to Foumzguid where you will have your lunch. You will carry on the path through rocks desert and the black mountains of Saghro. In the late afternoon, you will arrive at Mercure Ouarzazate to spend a very comfortable deserved night.
Dinner and night at hotel.


Day 6
Depart around 10:30am directly to the haven Oasis of Fint. You’ll meet Mohamed who owns an auberge overhanging the palm grove where you will have lunch.  You will carry on by the road crossing the High-Atlas at 8728 ft before reaching the imperial city of Marrakech.
